Line and Shape
Line and Shape Reflection
What location and subject matter did you choose to shoot your photos?
I chose to take the pictures with objects that could be found around my house. I took multiple photos of household items such as light switches, a fake plant, a lamp, stairs, a tissue box, and the leg of one of the stairs.
Describe the photos you took:
Each of the photos I took are objects that can be found in the house. I got pretty close up to take all of the pictures and they all have lines that you can visibly follow.
What is the distance in the shot? (How close or far away are you from your subject)
In all of my photos I was pretty close to the objects I was taking a photo of.
What was your point of view when you took the photos?
I was took all of the pictures besides the stairs from an angle. Most are from the side except the lamp which was from below.
Are your photographs horizontal or vertical?
Vertical
Did you consider the rule of thirds to compose your shots?
No because my camera didn't have the graphs on it.
Which one of your photos is a dynamic composition that successfully leads the viewers eye through the work?
My favorite one is the picture of the leg of the stairs. I feel like it was the most eye appealing because of the clear cut lines of the leg.

Texture and Pattern
Pattern and Texture Reflection
My best photo in my opinion was the second one, which is the one of the plant. To take the shot I was pretty close to the object I was photographing. I was kneeling while taking the picture but I took it from a slight angle from above, although it was almost straight on. My photo is vertical and follows the rule of thirds. You can see that it follows the rule of thirds because the plant that I focused on is off-centered, therefore making it follow the rule of thirds. This picture is displaying texture, by looking at this picture I can start to feel what the water droplets or even the plant itself would feel like.
Which image may be over exposed? Why which areas are too bright?
I don't believe any of my photos are overexposed but if I had to pick one it would be the upper left photo. Its a little too bright around the beads.
Which image is underexposed? Which areas are too dark?
The bottom left is underexposed. The symbol that is in the front of the photo is a little too dark, although if the picture was brighter then the background wouldn't be blurred out.
Which photo is an example of a properly exposed photo?
The best exposed photo is the plant. Everything is balanced and nothing is too dark or light.
